Secure Your Home or Business the Wireless Way

A monitored home security system is the best solution for keeping your property or business secure and more importantly, keeping your family safe. Now monitored home security is affordable for every American family and the security system options are also flexible.

With today's changing telecommunications technologies, there are many people who are using VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) or digital voice or opting to rely solely on their cell phone. Many companies now recognize the need for flexible home security monitoring solutions and offer both, broadband monitoring services or standard monitoring service for your security system.

Standard Monitoring Service

Most security system packages include a standard talking command station that uses your landline telephone connection to communicate with a monitoring facility. Anytime the security system is triggered, the command station sends a signal through the landline phone to a monitoring facility and notifies us about a problem in your home. Depending on the nature of the problem, the monitoring facility will respond to your alarm and dispatch the emergency authorities to your home if necessary.

Broadband Internet Monitored Security

There are security systems that offer broadband monitoring services with their home security system. Now you can connect your security system directly into an available port on your modem or router to provide your home and family with protection 24 hours, 7 days a week.

With a broadband connection, anytime an alarm is triggered, your security system sends the signal through your broadband Internet connection and notifies a monitoring facility or you via the Internet of the problem at your house. This broadband monitoring service provides your security system with a much faster connection to the monitoring facility and is capable of notifying them of a problem at least four times faster than a traditional telephone connection.

There are security systems available that provide you with flexible equipment packages so that you can customize a security system that meets your specific needs. To help detect burglars and intruders, wireless sensors that are part of any security system package, are placed on the doors and windows as well as wireless motion detectors that are used inside the home. Also, many security system packages some offer a talking command station, which receives the signals from the wireless devices and sounds the 100dB interior siren.

With a 24/7 alarm monitoring service, the talking command station then attempts to notify you or the monitoring facility about the problem in your home by sending the signals either through your landline telephone or broadband Internet connection. The monitoring facility will allow you enough time to cancel the alarm from your home by entering the correct 4-digit code.

If the code is not entered on the security system, it will attempt to contact your home and ask for your correct password to verify whether it is a false alarm or a real emergency. If the correct password is not received on the first attempt to call your home, then the monitoring facility will immediately attempt to dispatch the appropriate emergency authorities to your home.

At that point, it would then attempt to call your emergency contact numbers to notify you, your family, and any friends or neighbors on the list about the problem at your home.
